Biography
I am a current Ph.D. student at the University of Guelph working under the advisement of Dr. Christine Baes. I received a dual degree in Animal Science and Applied Mathematics from the University of Connecticut in May 2020 and following graduation, I started my Master's focusing on Quantitative Genetics and Animal Breeding under Dr. Breno Fragomeni. My Master’s research focused on genotype by environment interaction and heat stress in swine. My current research interests are fertility traits, sustainability, and mitigating environmental impacts on livestock, I hope to apply them to the Resilient Dairy Genome Project.
In my free time, I enjoy camping, hiking, and playing volleyball. I love to travel and enjoy exploring new cultures (fun fact: I have been to over 20 countries on 6 continents!).
